  • Kyocera Unimerco announces joint venture with Turkish company Bilginoglu Endüstri

    Partnership which aims to further strengthen market presence to start in Istanbul from April 2015
    Kyoto/Sunds/Neuss – After almost 20 years of working together, Kyocera is joining forces with the Turkish industrial enterprise Bilginoglu Endüstri as part of a joint venture. With a sales target for the middle term of approximately EUR 10 million, the joint venture will be established in Istanbul along with a logistics center. A Technical Center will also be established in 2016 to strengthen technical support for Turkish customers. more

    New tool raises cutting productivity, allowing higher feed rates with less vibration
    Kyoto/Neuss – Kyocera Unimerco Tooling GmbH introduced its new MFH - High Feed Milling Cutter, which features an anti-vibration design for increased productivity in ramping and helical milling at high speeds. The MFH offers a variety of cutting options with three different inserts designed specifically to enhance general milling; to support large depth-of-cut operations (up to 5mm), and to provide a wiper edge for roughing and finishing, even in small machining centers. more

    Kyoto/Neuss – At this year’s EMO, the leading trade fair for metalworking in Hannover (Germany), Kyocera presents its latest innovative products in the field of cutting tools: the MRW milling cutter with round insert and the new CVD coated carbide grade CA5 series. The MRW cutter adopts a double-sided round insert with the new grades CA6535 and PR1535 which enable extremely high-efficiency machining. The CA5 series delivers excellent abrasion resistance and fracture resistance — 1.5-times higher than conventional grades. more
  • Generational change in the Kyocera Unimerco Group executive board

    Neuss – As of 1 July this year, the current vice president of the Kyocera Unimerco Group, Mr. Senri Nagashima, will take over the position of CEO and president from Mr. Kenneth Iversen. Simultaneously, Mr. Anders Hegaard will take up the position of vice president of the Group. Anders Hegaard is currently the managing director of Kyocera Unimerco in Denmark and the UK, and will continue to hold these positions. The rest of the executive board and management of the Group in related companies will remain unchanged. more
