  • KYOCERA'S CUTTING TOOL BUSINESS CONTINUES TO EXPAND: INNOVATIVE PRODUCTS AND A NEW PLANT IN INDIA

    Kyocera's new PG chipbreaker for inserts offers excellent chip control and a high level of cutting edge stability. The new product ensures high levels of productivity in the process of medium roughing and roughing steel. Other innovations from the company include the CA510 and CA530 CVD-coated carbide grades for steel machining, which complete the CA5 series. Another new development is the opening of Kyocera's first high-tech production site in India, in the city of Jamshedpur, which represents the latest stage in the company's expansion plans.

    Kyoto/Neuss – At this year’s EMO, the leading trade fair for metalworking in Hannover (Germany), Kyocera presents its latest innovative products in the field of cutting tools: the MRW milling cutter with round insert and the new CVD coated carbide grade CA5 series. The MRW cutter adopts a double-sided round insert with the new grades CA6535 and PR1535 which enable extremely high-efficiency machining. The CA5 series delivers excellent abrasion resistance and fracture resistance — 1.5-times higher than conventional grades. more
  • Generational change in the Kyocera Unimerco Group executive board

    Neuss – As of 1 July this year, the current vice president of the Kyocera Unimerco Group, Mr. Senri Nagashima, will take over the position of CEO and president from Mr. Kenneth Iversen. Simultaneously, Mr. Anders Hegaard will take up the position of vice president of the Group. Anders Hegaard is currently the managing director of Kyocera Unimerco in Denmark and the UK, and will continue to hold these positions. The rest of the executive board and management of the Group in related companies will remain unchanged. more

    Strengthening customer support structure to contribute to advanced productivity and market expansion
    Kyoto / Neuss – Kyocera Corporation announced that it has opened an industrial cutting tool technical center in Gurgaon, India to strengthen its customer support structure in the Indian market — which is expected to continue showing high growth. The KYOCERA Asia Pacific India Technical Center is the first of its kind to be established by a Japan-based company in India*, and has started operation on June 15, 2012. more
  • KYOCERA and CTC (India) Pvt Ltd to Establish Manufacturing Company in India for Industrial Cutting Tools

    Joint venture aims to strengthen position in rapidly expanding Indian market
    Kyoto / Neuss – Kyocera Corporation’s wholly-owned subsidiary dedicated to sales in the Asia-Pacific region, Kyocera Asia Pacific Private Limited, and industrial cutting tool manufacturer, CTC (India) Private Limited, today announced that the two companies have signed a joint-venture agreement to establish a manufacturing company in India. The companies have entered into this agreement to further strengthen their industrial cutting tool business in the Indian market. Production at the new company is scheduled to start in June 2013, and will become the first Kyocera Group manufacturing location in India. more
