Kyoto / Neuss − The Japanese technology corporation Kyocera is one of the leading manufacturers in the field of photovoltaics. At Intersolar 2008 in Munich, the company will be presenting its latest product, the KD210GH-2P polycrystalline photovoltaic high-efficiency module (12 – 14 June, Hall B4, Stand B4.490).

Kyocera is taking Intersolar 2008 as an opportunity to introduce an additional module from the new KD series in the form of the KD210GH-2P.After exhibiting the predecessor module, the KD205GH-2P, barely a few weeks ago, Kyocera can already claim  an additional 5 watts to the rated output of the new product.Under standard test conditions, the KD210GH-2P achieves 210 watts.Kyocera is thus once again underlining its efforts to continuously add value in the field of highly modern technologies.

With an efficiency of 16 per cent, the 54 solar cells of the KD210GH-2P guarantee a high annual yield of energy.

Kyocera manufactures all components at its own production sites, without buying in any semi-finished products.Consequently, the high quality standard that Kyocera applies to its goods, including the KD210GH-2P, guarantees a maximum of value and reliability. The cells are embedded between a reinforced glass covering and EVA foil, and are sealed with a PET foil backing.A sturdy black aluminium frame surrounds the laminate.Together with the textured cell surface achieved by means of the “d-blue” process developed by Kyocera, the new module of the KD series thus offers an appealing design as well.

This aluminium frame additionally makes it easy to mount the modules on roofs and façades. Many series-connected modules can be easily wired together using pre-assembled solar cables and multi-contact plugs. The KD210GH-2P is suitable for both private residential houses as well as for industrial and large-scale plants.

The new KD module series from Kyocera replaces the previous KC series and is characterized by a greater power output and a high level of reliability.Tolerance for rated power has been reduced to
+/-5 per cent,
whereas in the KC series, this figure was still +10/-5 per cent.Due to the new square cell format  of 156 times 156 millimetres, the new KD210GH-2P measures in at 1500 times 990 millimetres.

All KD modules from Kyocera comply with the new standards of IEC 61215 ed.2 and IEC 61730
