Kyocera Document Solutions Receives The 2014 Blue Angel Award
04 December 2014
KYOCERA Document Solutions Deutschland GmbH has been awarded the Blue Angel 2014 sustainability award. The jury in particular praised the Japanese manufacturer’s commitment to constantly improving its laser printers, which was the decisive factor in selecting a candidate.
UBA President Krautzberger commends the company’s pioneering role.
During her speech at the German sustainability awards ceremony, Maria Krautzberger applauded the Japanese manufacturer’s commitment to protect the environment and protect health: “With its environmentally friendly innovations, KYOCERA is a pioneer in the sector. Many of the company’s products comply with the label’s high environmental standards. It also contributes to the Blue Angel’s quality criteria”, she said.
KYOCERA has been Blue Angel certified since 1997
In 1997, KYOCERA was the first producer to meet the Blue Angel’s demanding certification guidelines. Ever since, many of its products have received the coveted environmental label: around 50 systems are currently Blue Angel certified.
“We are very proud to receive the Blue Angel Award“, commented Detlef Herb, environmental and product safety manager at KYOCERA Document Solutions Germany, who has managed the certification process for 17 years. He added: “The Blue Angel has contributed to providing the public with information and its strict guidelines help guarantee the high quality of laser printers. Environmental protection and sustainability are integral elements of our corporate philosophy and we are constantly developing our products in terms of environmental compatibility. We also support sustainable innovations as part of the KYOCERA environmental prize, which has been awarded by jury chairman Dr. Töpfer four consecutive times.”
