KYOCERA'S TOP-OF-THE-RANGE HIGH SPEED A3 MONOCHROME MFPS

01 November 2013

Kyocera Document Solutions, one of the world’s leading document solutions companies, strengthens its line-up of A3 Monochrome MFPs by adding the high speed TASKalfa 6501i and the 8001i. The new devices incorporate advanced workflow and significant enhancements to environmental performance, image quality, document handling and usability. With engine speeds of 65ppm and 80ppm even the most demanding document requirements can be handled comfortably.

These machines fit seamlessly into existing networks and employ many hallmark Kyocera features, such as environmental responsibility, advanced design and user-friendly features like the intuitive touch-screen hosting 'pinch to zoom' and swipe technology. HyPAS application icons can be added to the menu and customised to each user’s needs.

Bernhard Koll, Product Manager at Kyocera Document Solutions Europe commented on the new range, “We always aspire to meet the changing needs of our customers which is why the new 10.1 inch colour touch panel allows easy access to print, scan, copy and fax functions. For further ease of use, Kyocera's HyPAS software platform can be integrated from the control panel, turning the devices into customisable tools for any workflow.”

Usability & Efficiency

These days documents are not only needed in the office but also on the move which is why Kyocera’s free Mobile Print application allows printing of documents and emails via the local Wi-Fi network. The ability to share, manage and use documents is transformed by meticulous attention to detail including new features such as dual scan speeds of 180 images per minute, ideal for archiving jobs and high volume departments. The embedded OCR scan allows easy conversion from scan to searchable PDF, making it simple to copy and paste text.

Increasingly complex in-house printing requirements demand high media flexibility, which is why Kyocera offers up to 8 different media trays with a total capacity of 7,650 sheets and supports custom paper, banner printing and optional tri-folding to provide unbeatable efficiency. The new KX 6.0 driver brings TAB printing and improved print quality as standard. Optional security features, such as the integrated IC card reader for quick/fast authentication and keyboard for alternative data entry, give added security to a company's documents.

Environmental Responsibility

Maintaining high environmental standards is part of Kyocera’s heritage and the TASKalfa series leads the way when it comes to environmental compliance and energy consumption. Compared to the predecessors TEC-values have been reduced by 40% due to the smart power allocation which activates only the functions required from Energy Save mode.

Koll continued, "Long life components, such as the 600,000 page drum and developer and fuser units at 300,000 pages, provide unprecedented efficiency and reliability while reducing costs, downtime and waste. Fundamentally we deliver value, reliability and of course superior print quality."
