KYOCERA NEW A3 COLOUR MIDRANGE MFP DELIVERS ENHANCED PRODUCTIVITY AND USEABILITY

01 November 2013

Kyocera Document Solutions, one of the world’s leading document solutions companies, is pleased to announce the TASKalfa 2551ci 25ppm machine, developed for small to medium sized workgroups who have an average print volume of 2000 to 6000 sheets per month. The TASKalfa 2551ci offers outstanding colour print, scan, copy and fax capabilities and includes effortless multi-touch panel operations designed to meet the challenging needs of ambitous workgroups who are looking to integrate software solutions into their daily work flow.

When a multifunctional is placed as a central device it is important that it is easy to use and supports the varying needs of individual users, as well as the workgroup. The new 8.5 inch multi-touch colour display, incorporating 'pinch to zoom' and swipe technology makes the TASKalfa 2551ci engaging and intuitive. To enhance usability the home screen can be customised with shortcuts for easy operation, without the need for hard keys.

With the TASKalfa 2551ci, small businesses can access features typically available only to workgroups in larger organisations, such as HyPAS (Hybrid Platform for Advanced Solutions) which transforms the device into a customisable business tool. The advanced colour technology ensures all documents have optimal colour gradation, extra-sharp contrast and smooth shades. Paper handling, with capacity from 1,100 to 4,100 sheets and the 1,000 sheet finisher with stapler and hole-punch, allow documents to be expertly finished. This characteristic TASKalfa is a cost-effective choice for small to medium sized workgroups.

Berthold Hurtz, Product Manager at Kyocera Document Solutions Europe stated, "The TASKalfa 2551ci sets the standard for feature-rich products in the 20 to 25ppm segment by combining excellent colour quality and document handling, while streamlining complex document workflows and ultimately freeing up resources to increase productivity. The product is Energy Star and Blue Angel compliant, confirming our commitment to environmental innovation."

Kyocera long life components contribute to the ecological and economical performance of the devices. Lower power consumption mean TEC values have been lowered by 50%, reducing CO2 emissions, and the durable drum is capable of printing 200,000 sheets without replacement, cutting running costs and waste.

Superior scanning

The TASKalfa 2551ci’s superior scan performance of up to 100ipm is due to its 'speed dual scanning function' and the 175 document feeder. With an embedded OCR scan option, allows easy conversion from scan to searchable PDF, making it simple to copy and paste text from the scanned document to e.g. PowerPointTM and WordTM, productivity is improved all round.

Berthold Hurtz continues, "The new A6 scanning capability opens up alternative business opportunities, such as the banking sector and healthcare."
