Kyocera Net Admin 3.1 – Universal Device Management from a Central Point

02 May 2013

Kyocera Document Solutions, one of the world’s leading document solutions companies, announces the release of Kyocera Net Admin 3.1. Kyocera's state-of-the-art proprietary technology delivers unified device management software on a web-based platform. IT administrators have easy and uncomplicated control of devices in their network, making it ideal for large organisations with up to 5,000 devices. Kyocera Net Admin 3.1 offers a range of features that save time, boost productivity and save money.

Improved productivity

The innovative web browser-based Kyocera Net Admin 3.1 allows administrators to easily install, configure, manage and monitor all Kyocera devices in any organisation from a central point. Productivity is improved because all printers can be managed as if they were in one group. All devices can be monitored and checked, any problems can be resolved quickly with minimal downtime, and workflows and day to day business are not disrupted.

Changes across the network are also simplified with enhanced features, such as Multi-Set which allows administrators to distribute address books and remotely install standard settings, which make adding new hardware or changing settings a simple and seamless process. Additionally, HyPASTM* applications can be loaded to single or multiple devices, thereby making a visit to each device a thing of the past.

Reducing costs and saving time

As well as processing time improvements for larger networks, default settings can be monitored and standardised across the organisation to ensure print output is optimised at the lowest cost and that environmental goals, such as duplex printing, are achieved. Users’ print habits and what is printed across an organisation are key data for cost management and cost structures, especially for dealers who are managing click contracts. Kyocera Net Admin 3.1 allows precise counter information to be quickly gathered for each device.

Sophisticated alert messages are a new feature of the Net Admin 3.1 tool. For example, not only is there an alert to replace toner, there is an additional alert at 10% which means that IT staff and dealers can manage inventory better and control their costs.

“Net Admin 3.1 is the perfect tool to manage Kyocera devices as seamlessly as possible, and is available as a free download from kyoceradocumentsolutions.eu.” said Daniel Kwiatkowski, Software Product Manager at Kyocera Document Solutions Europe.

* Kyocera’s HyPASTM (Hybrid Platform for Advanced Solutions), is a powerful and scalable software solution platform, that optimises the performance of Kyocera’s TASKalfa and Ecosys MFPs through custom, integrated software applications. HyPASTM will enhance a customer’s specific document imaging needs, resulting in improved information sharing, resource optimisation and document workflows.
