KYOCERA A3 MONOCHROME MFPS FOR RELIABLE PERFORMANCE AND ENHANCED WORKFLOW

01 November 2013

Kyocera Document Solutions, one of the world’s leading document solutions companies, announces two new monochrome A3 MFPs, the TASKalfa 3010i and the TASKalfa 3510i. These 30 and 35ppm devices host cutting edge technology, including the new Kyocera controller, to ensure businesses operate more productively. Ideal for average monthly print volumes of 5000 to 7000 prints, now small departments and large workgroups can enjoy outstanding performance and versatility.

These two new products complete the new A3 Monochrome line up from Kyocera and replace the award winning TASKalfa 300i. This TASKalfa, albeit sitting in the midrange, carries all the key components that make the TASKalfa range unique. The new 8.5 inch multi-touch colour display gives easy access to print, copy, colour scan and optional fax functions.

Professional output & performance

A wide range of integrated features are designed to make the challenges of a busy office easier. The new KX driver 6.0 has improved halftone screening with four different settings to ensure that all documents have the professional touch.

High volume paper handling of up to 4100 sheets, media flexibility from A6 to A3 and the 3000 sheet optional finishing unit gives the opportunity to generate high quality documents in-house with optimal gradation, extra-sharp contrast and smooth shades. The standard duplex function delivers professional double-sided documents with no loss of speed and significantly reduced paper usage.

The TASKalfa 3010i/3510i first time to copy in 3.6 seconds and the 160ipm optional single path scanner are ideal for high volume archiving needs.

Advanced flexibility & security

Not only do these TASKalfas offer high quality colour scan, they make sharing and working with scanned documents easy and more flexible. The embedded OCR scan allows easy conversion from scan to searchable PDF, making it simple to copy and paste text from the scanned document to e.g. PowerPointTM and WordTM.

Bernhard Koll, Product Manager at Kyocera Document Solutions Europe, says, “Sharing documents is transformed by Kyocera’s free Mobile Print application – distributing documents directly from your mobile device to the MFP and the ability to send documents straight to USB memory sticks or directly to email accounts, the devices extend business mobility even further.”

Security can be heightened by the optional ID card reader to eliminate unauthorised access, while privacy and protection of documents is guaranteed through the administrator-controlled password policy. Customers can gain more flexibility by tailoring the devices to their needs with Kyocera's open software platform, HyPAS.

Koll continues, "As well as achieving high productivity and flexibility, Kyocera's environmental philosophy is not compromised - from sharing and distributing documents, to long-life components and producing energy efficient products. The TASKalfa 3010i and 3510i TEC* values have been reduced by 52%, compared to their predecessor, and the products are Blue Angel and Energy Star compliant, ensuring Kyocera's stringent environmental objectives are exceeded."
