Kyocera introduces two high performance printers with extensive paper handling capabilities

“Based on award winning technology, the FS-C8650DN and FS-C8600DN offer high performance, full colour printing and superior paper handling capabilities for a wide variety of paper formats, including A3+ and banners up to 120cm long,” explains Berthold Hurtz, Product Manager of Kyocera Document Solutions Europe B.V. “Combine this with high print speeds of 50/55ppm (colour / black and white FS-C8650DN) and 45/45ppm (colour / black and white FS-C8600DN) and Kyocera is on-target for realising its goal of being the top manufacturer in the 45+ppm printing segment.”

The FS-C8650DN and FS-8600DN offer the highest paper capacity as well as the most flexible paper handling options of any printer in the segment. Both printers can handle up to 8 different paper sizes and media types, including coated and uncoated paper, labels and different weights of paper. A new banner tray supports banner printing of up to 120cm long.

The printers have an input capacity of up to 7,650 sheets, currently unmatched in the 45+ppm printer segment. Additionally, the printers offer an output capacity of up to 5,000 sheets and a range of finishing options, including stapling, punching, booklet stitching and tri-folding.

In addition to their flexible paper handling capabilities, the FS-C8650DN and FS-C8600DN deliver high quality printing at high speeds with 100% duplex productivity. Large print jobs can easily be carried out without interruptions, as paper trays don’t need to be continuously refilled thanks to the large input capacity. Furthermore, the FS-C8650DN and FS-C8600DN come with a high performance controller and 160GB HHD as standard for straightforward document management.

As Kyocera ECOSYS printers, both devices follow the ECOSYS concept of having a low Total Cost of Ownership (TCO). This means that the cost of the product throughout its lifecycle – purchase, operation and resale – is the lowest in its class. To do this, Kyocera uses life-long components in all ECOSYS products, including the drum and developer that last for up to 600,000 pages.
