KYOCERA MITA MFPs achieve Blue Angel environmental standard
16 December 2011
KYOCERA MITA Europe B.V. today announced that eight of its recently launched mono and colour multifunction devices have successfully achieved the rigorous Blue Angel environmental accreditation. The Blue Angel award is only given to products that fit to a comprehensive list of criteria that ranges from low power consumption in sleep mode and low noise in operation to waste prevention, long-life components, eco-friendly packaging and harmless toner emissions. Additionally the products must provide standard duplex functionality and suitability for use with recycled paper.
The qualifying devices are the colour multifunctionals: FS-C2026MFP+, FS-C2126MFP+, FS-C2526MFP, and FS-C2626MFP and the monochrome multifunctionals FS-3040MFP+, FS-3140MFP+, FS-3540MFP, and FS-3640MFP. All of these devices benefit from KYOCERA MITA’s unique ECOSYS long-life components, which aim to reliability and lower consumables costs whilst minimising waste.
Berthold Hurtz, Product Manager at KYOCERA MITA Europe: “We’re pleased that these recently launched products have confirmed their strong environmental performance by meeting the Blue Angel standard. As the oldest environment-related approval label for products and services in the world, Blue Angel is one of the most stringent and well respected standards to achieve.”
