Kyocera Mita Announces Change of Brand Symbol

The Kyocera brand symbol begins appearing on new printer and copier products

18 December 2003

Kyocera Mita Corporation (President: Koji Seki), a wholly owned subsidiary of Kyocera Corporation, and one of the world's largest manufacturers of office information equipment, including network-ready printers and digital copiers, has announced that it is changing its corporate brand symbol to the Kyocera brand symbol.

The Kyocera Group pursues the “synergistic diversification” of its business activities. Its components, finished products and service companies are focused across three areas: Information and Communications, Environmental Preservation and Quality of Life. Kyocera Mita, part of the information and communications sector, works in close partnership with other Kyocera Group companies who develop key components such as Amorphous Silicon Drums and Advanced Beam Array technology.

The Kyocera Group is also a leading supplier of advanced consumer products in the optical and wireless communications markets. With the alignment of Kyocera Mita under the same brand, “Kyocera” will become a more established and recognizable symbol of innovative, cutting-edge technology. Kyocera Mita will play a key part in the worldwide development of the Kyocera brand as it continues to expand its products, solutions and services designed to help businesses improve and simplify their document management processes.

In order to minimize disruption to subsidiaries and channel partners, a transition period has been established during which both the Kyocera and Kyocera Mita brand symbols can be used.

The Kyocera brand symbol begins appearing on new printer and copier products launched in Autumn, 2003, while there will be a running change of existing product lines early in 2004.
