First 8.5” Super Wide Viewing Angle LCD with long life LED backlight

Utilizing the latest display technology, Kyocera’s new 8.5-inch LCD features WVGA resolution, long-life LED backlighting with low power consumption, up to 70,000 hours of operating time, and a viewing angle of 170 degrees horizontally and vertically, which covers the needs of a broad variety of different applications.

Thanks to the advanced technology in the different alignments of the liquid crystals within the TFT cell, the performance of this module was not only improved vertically and horizontally, even the needs in performance for the industrial and medical use can be covered from the diagonal viewing angle. Based on the technology of different alignments, the color remains the same (no grey inversion) from each angle . The specially designed LED backlighting provides lower power consumption by using the latest technology for LED chips and light guides. The 18 bit RGB interface guarantees an easy and simple installation.
