01 September 2004 - KYOCERA announced a Mini Tailed Package for 1550nm intermediate reach (40km), long reach (80km) and extended reach (150km) Transmitter Optical Sub Assembly (TOSA) applications at 2.5Gbit/s and 10Gbit/s.

The 25 or 50 Ohm impedance matched ceramic feedthrough with up to 10 leads provides the superior electrical performance essential in module applications. The package dimensions meet and exceed the requirements in XFP transceiver guideline.
This product will be exhibited at ECOC exhibition (6th - 8th September
2004, Stockholm International Fairs, Sweden).
