KYOCERA MITA strengthens colour range with launch of FS-C8500DN high speed A3 printer

25 January 2010 - KYOCERA MITA today announces the launch of the FS-C8500DN colour laser printer. With an A4 print speed of 50ppm (pages per minute) in colour and 55 ppm in mono the FS-C8500DN offers high speed, high quality colour printing with KYOCERA’s characteristic reliability and low running costs. The robust design, high duty cycle and availability of advanced finishing options make the FS-C8500DN ideal for office environments with high colour print volumes.

Fast access to high quality colour documents is essential in today’s business environment. With its maximum printing quality of 9,600dpi with multibit technology, 50ppm print speed (25ppm A3) in colour, and large standard memory capacity the FS-C8500DN enhances productivity by enabling the swift in-house printing of business documents.

Economy and Ecology

Designed according to KYOCERA’s ECOSYS concept, the FS-C8500DN benefits from exceptionally low printing costs and low toner waste. The FS-C8500DN uses KYOCERA’s micro-particle toner system that reduces toner consumption by up to 30% and, by lowering the fusing temperature of the toner, also reduces energy consumption. This means organisations can reduce their environmental impact while also keeping costs to a minimum. To facilitate still greater control of office printing costs the FS-C8500DN is configured with 100 department codes enabling the tracking of specific users’ print volumes.

Berthold Hurtz, Product manager at KYOCERA MITA Europe comments: “The FS-C8500DN brings high quality, high speed colour to the office environment while at the same time ensuring that costs are minimised and controlled. Its large LCD display with graphical information makes it easy to use so it can start enhancing productivity from the moment it is installed.”

Advanced finishing options

The FS-C8500DN has been developed in tandem with KYOCERA’s award-winning TASKalfa multifunctional product range. It therefore benefits from a range of advanced finishing options that enable the efficient production of booklets, flyers and brochures. Its standard 1,100 paper capacity can be expanded to a maximum capacity of 4,100 sheets, making it ideal for high volume print environments.
