KYOCERA MITA adds high speed colour to TASKalfa MFP range

01 February 2010 - KYOCERA MITA today announced the addition of the TASKalfa 552ci to its award-winning multifunction range. The TASKalfa 552ci meets the business need for flexibility and efficiency while also offering high reliability and productivity. The TASKalfa 552ci adds a new level of speed to KYOCERA’s colour multifunction products. With a print and copy speed of 55 A4 pages per minute (ppm) in mono and 50 ppm in full colour the TASKalfa 552ci will enhance the productivity of any print environment. The scan speed of up to 100 images per minute makes this machine ideal for organisations that require digital archiving functionality.

Straightforward customisation
The TASKalfa 552ci is the latest KYOCERA product to benefit from the HyPAS™ open software development platform. The platform combines Java based applications with open web service technology enabling the device to work efficiently with applications embedded within the device as well as externally hosted web based applications. HyPAS™ allows the TASKalfa 552ci to integrate seamlessly with bespoke company workflow processes from security protocols and accounting processes to document routing and management. All functions (print, copy, scan or fax) can be customised to support company-specific requirements.

Ease-of-use is a key consideration for organisations deploying new hardware. The TASKalfa 552ci has been designed with a widescreen colour touch panel featuring an intuitive command structure ensuring that the device boosts user productivity from day one.

The TASKalfa 552ci uses KYOCERA’s newly developed toner, which guarantees high-precision image quality while at the same time reducing the volume of toner used by up to 30% and consequently lowering the cost per page. KYOCERA’s long life components ensure high reliability and consistent long term performance.

Advanced finishing options
Creating business documents in-house is straightforward with the TASKalfa 552ci. Its range of finishing options means that booklets, collated documents and folded leaflets are easily produced. Optional paper feeders take the device’s capacity up to a maximum of 4,100 sheets, making the TASKalfa 552ci ideal for high volume print environments.
